Test Screening Survey Results.
I have brought together 20 people that fall into my target audience category. I have asked them to watch my 2 minute clip of the start of my film and then I have asked them to fill out a survey. These are my results of my survey.
For my first three questions, I asked my target audience:
1. Can you tell me the genre of my film?
2. Do you understand the storyline?
3. After watching the first 2 minutes, are you encouraged to watch the whole film?
Out of the 20 people I asked 100% of the people said that they could tell me the genre of my film, that they understood the storyline, and that they would watch the whole film if given the chance.
My fourth question to my target audience was: what do you like about my 2 minute clip? I received a range of answers:
· The storyline - 5
· The actors/characters - 3
· The sound effects - 3
· The atmosphere - 2
· The tension - 3
· The setting/location - 2
· That it was easy to understand - 1
· The genre/theme – 1
The fifth and last question was: is there anything that could be improved? I received mainly the same answers throughout:
· Credits/titles – 3
· The stabbing scene could be emphasised – 4
· The thunder sounds on all of the eye parts – 2
· Music on the main flashback part – 6
· Nothing could be improved – 5
I will be taking all of these points into consideration to ensure to appeal to my target audience as much as possible.
